The eMT Institute of Development is proud to announce its participation in the official transnational Kick-Off Meeting for DiverseVET (Driving Inclusion and Innovation in Vocational Excellence for SMEs), held on 22–23 September 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, hosted by SmartLeap with project coordination led by CSI. The eMT Institute of Development joined partner organizations from Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Belgium, and Lithuania to launch this 48-month initiative co-funded by the European Union. The meeting set the operational foundation for transforming vocational education and training (VET) to better serve small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the digital and green transitions.

During the sessions, the consortium aligned on core project governance structures—establishing regular steering committee reviews, financial reporting workflows, and quality assurance mechanisms—while reviewing the current state of play across initial research activities. Partners set clear operational deadlines for upcoming field studies, including expert interviews, employer and student surveys, and sector-scan reports due by October 2026 to lay the groundwork for the upcoming DiverseVET Baseline Report and Transformation Roadmap. Looking further ahead, the meeting framed long-term milestones, including the development of 20 new inclusive VET study courses, transnational internship schemes, AI-assisted learning platforms, and the creation of regional Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) designed to embed diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion into every phase of implementation.
