The eMT Institute of Development participated in the official launch event of the new EEA Civil Society Fund Greece programme, implemented in Greece by the Bodossaki Foundation in consortium with SolidarityNow, under the framework of the EEA Grants (Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area).

The programme, with a total budget of €14.3 million funded primarily by Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, aims to empower Civil Society, defend democratic values, and strengthen social cohesion in Greece.

Key Thematic Pillars of the Programme:

  • Democracy, Participation & Transparency: Enhancing civic participation in democratic processes, protecting media freedom, and countering disinformation.
  • Human Rights & Inclusion: Safeguarding the rights of vulnerable and underrepresented groups, promoting gender equality, and combating discrimination.
  • Green Transition & Climate: Supporting initiatives for environmental protection, climate justice, and a fair green transition.
  • Capacity Building for Organizations: Strengthening the operational capacity, sustainability, and organizational development of Civil Society Organizations.

As an entity focused on equal access to education, skills development, and social inclusion, the eMT Institute of Development is closely monitoring the funding and networking opportunities opened up by the new fund. We remain committed to forming synergies and submitting innovative proposals that will turn these funding opportunities into meaningful social impact for local communities and vulnerable groups.
